Job Description
– Investigation of the microbial controls of nitrogen cycling in the transition zones between groundwater and lower order streams
– Combination of cutting-edge quantitative microbiome analytics and stable isotope tools for key populations with spatially and temporally explicit field sampling
– Assessment of the impact of seasonal dynamics and differential land-use on nitrification and denitrification rates in reactive hot-spots

Your Qualifications
– A very good Masters’ degree in Biology, Microbiology, Environmental Sciences or other closely related fields
– A strong background in molecular microbome analyses and biogeochemical analytics. Experience in next-generation sequencing and stable isotope approaches are of benefit
– You are highly motivated and enjoy working in a team as well as independently
– Candidates with a good spoken and written English as well as a valid car driving permit during field sampling campaigns are preferred
