In the context of a collaborative project, the groups led by Dr. Gilles Gasser (Chimie Paris Tech, PSL Research University) and Dr. Marcel Hollenstein (Institut Pasteur) are looking immediately for a student (BSc or MSc) willing to undertake a 6-month research internship in chemistry. Project This project aims to prepare selective metal-bases photosensitizers for the emerging medical technique against cancer called Photodynamic Therapy (PDT). This project has numerous potential applications, most notably within the pharmaceutical industry. Your Profile The successful candidate is currently a student in chemistry, chemical biology, biological chemistry or related field. He/she is expected to be highly motivated to work on an ambitious, cross-disciplinary research project involving organic chemists, inorganic chemists, biochemists, biophysical chemists and molecular biologists. Selected Criteria 1) Enthusiasm for research. 2) Ability to work independently. 3) Solid knowledge in organic and inorganic synthesis. 4) Willingness to learn new techniques. 5) Good knowledge of spoken and written English. The position is directly available. The salary is according to the French law for internships (about 600 € a month).
